The “It girl” of the moment, Kate Upton, looks pretty and patriotic on the July cover of GQ. Sporting a tiny bikini and enjoying a red, white, and blue popsicle, Upton’s pic is sure to sell thousands of copies of the popular magazine. However, while Upton is young, only 19 years old, she’s far from naïve about her appeal to men.
"I grew up in Florida riding horses, so for the majority of my life I was either in boots and jeans or a bathing suit," she said in an interview with GQ. "I understand why my male followers like me."
Kate certainly isn’t afraid to show off her curvaceous figure. This spring, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl performed the “Cat Daddy” in a micro bikini, and a video of the event attracted millions of views on YouTube. The teeny bikini and Kate’s sexy moves were apparently too much for the site’s administrators and they removed the video for violating community guidelines. However, the video reappeared after Kate’s fans cried foul.
"It's like any job," Kate said of modeling. "You find your strengths and play them up."
