Italian model and Dancing With the Stars contestant Elisabetta Canalis is the latest celebrity to bare all for PETA's "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign. The 32-year-old star felt compelled to speak out (and strip down) after watching a documentary about the horrors of fur harvesting.
“I was a little girl, but by that moment I thought that I would never, never, never wear fur in my life,” the newly-single Canalis told The New York Post.
Canalis’s PETA ad will debut on Rodeo Drive on Tuesday. Fans can also check out George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend on this season's Dancing With the Stars (DWTS). Canalis will be dancing with Val Chmerkovskiy, the hunky brother of Ukrainian heartthrob and fellow DWTS professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
A source close to The New York Post said that Canalis is excited about making her debut on American TV and that she hopes to make it big here in the U.S.
Canalis has had minor roles in the films Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo and Virgin, in addition to numerous parts in her native Italy.
