Introducing Gorgeous 10's first male-centric feature! Guys deserve some attention, too, right?

Adam Levine, the singer of the band you're most likely to hear while you're grocery shopping (Maroon 5), was born in California and met the other members of Maroon 5 while attending a performing arts camp in New York.

In the February issue of Cosmopolitan, Levine stripped down to promote testicular cancer awareness.  Apparently the photos are supposed to encourage men to regularly get checked for prostate and testicular cancer. Now, I don’t know how seeing a GUY naked is going to get most other guys to check themselves for cancer, but if that’s what it takes to get Adam Levine naked, I’m all for it (did I really just write that? I’m blushing).

Levine worked as a writer’s assistant on the television show Judging Amy, and during that period, he spent time writing lyrics about his ex-girlfriend, Jane. Those lyrics became the band’s album Songs About Jane. He has also made an appearance on Saturday Night Live -- in a digital short with Andy Samberg, Fred Armisen, and Jake Gyllenhaal. He has also made guest appearances on 30 Rock, and endorsed Barack Obama in the 2008 Presidential Election.

Other random facts about Levine: he and ex-girlfriend Jane have since made up, and he says they are "close friends." He is a “car junkie” and says his favorite car is his 1971 Mercedes 280 SE 3.5 Cabriolet. He broke his sternum while lifting weights, which he called “one of the most painful things” he’s ever experienced.
