You may know Pirelli for their tires, but many celebrities and VIPs know of the annual calendar the company makes of the world's most beautiful women. For this year's 39th issue, 25 photos are presented by Italian photographer Mario Sorrenti. His muses were nine models and three actresses, such as Kate Moss, Lara Stone, and Milla Jovovich. Sorrenti chose the Mediterranean island of Corsica to create the theme Swoon: ecstasy captured by images. "I put the bodies in direct contact with Nature, which harbors them as if they were its extension, in a set of images where rocks, land, tree trunks, sky and sea are all turned into a backdrop for the bodies."

Many of the lovely ladies who posed for this edition have graced the pages of past Pirelli calendars, while others are making their debut. Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana was featured in 2003, 2005, 2009, and 2011, while Russian model Natasha Poly was seen in 2011, and Dutch model Lara Stone was in the 2009 and 2011 editions. British model Kate Moss was featured in 1994 and 2006, while Ukrainian actress Milla Jovovich was seen in the 1998 calendar.

New models chosen for the sexy spread include Lithuanian Edita Vilkeviciute, Italian Margareth Madè and Japanese model Rinko Kikuchi.
