John Mayer once called her "the white Rihanna" (because she has an accent and short hair perhaps?) but Ruby Rose is a multi-talented model who's quickly becoming one of the most recognizable faces on Australian television. 

Her modeling career began when she placed second in the Girlfriend model search in 2002, but she really became famous when she beat out 2,000 other contestants to land her gig as an MTV VJ in Australia. 

"Being a model there is always something they want to change. Whether they want someone a little bit skinnier, a little bit taller, a little bit prettier, but MTV want you to be yourself... not censoring anything and not conforming to anything," she told the Herald Sun.

But wait! There's more! Ruby is also a DJ, a fashion designer, a philanthropist, an aspiring actress, and a role model. She's set to star alongside Christina Ricci in a film called Around the Block and she was chosen as one of the "25 Most Influential Gay and Lesbian Australians" by Same Same, an Australian online gay and lesbian community.
