Scarlett Johansson slipped on a skin-tight bodysuit for her role as Black Widow in Avengers, which hits theaters this Friday and she looks AWESOME! That sexy, crime-fighting, latex outfit she wears wasn’t quite as enjoyable for her as it is for the rest of the world. There were a lot of issues that had to be dealt with along the way!

Black Widow is a fierce fighter, but she’s probably not very intimidating when moving the wrong way leaves her in a torn up ensemble. I mean, how can somebody fight you when their clothing is literally tearing off of them? Then again, this is Scarlett Johansson we’re talking about. That’d probably serve as an adequate distraction while she kicked some serious butt!

"The first times around were hysterical with this costume," says Johansson. "You'd go to do a high kick and the pants would just split open. I was like, 'OK, we're going to need to reinforce this.'…They had it pretty figured out in the first week, though. For me it was really important to be able to move around in it."

Though they were able to make the costume a bit more durable, it still wasn’t a comfortable thing to be in for 15 hours a day. She said by the end of a day of filming she literally had to peel it off of herself, calling the material a “torture chamber.” We’re sorry you had to suffer through some uncomfortable days Scarlett, but thanks for doing it!
