Transformers star Shia LaBeouf stripped down and got artsy for a new music video by Icelandic band Sigur Rós. Check it out below.
The nearly nine-minute video, “Fjogur Piano,” is set to piano music and features LaBeouf and co-star Denna Thomsen dancing intimately, being blown out the door by two strangely-dressed men, glowing lollipops (which LaBeouf and Thomsen really seem to enjoy), and an underwater fight, among other things. It’s weird.
According to a release, the video portrays “a man and woman locked in a never-ending cycle of addiction and desire.’
Directed by filmmaker Alma Har’el, “Fjogur Piano” was shot as part of Sigur Rós’ “Mystery Film Experiment.” The band asked twelve filmmakers to select a song from their new album, Valtari, and then shoot a music video with a $10,000 budget and absolutely no instructions about what the video should contain.
Har’el says she didn’t plan the nudity, which is artistic and not cheapened by commodities.
“That’s the difference between working within a corporate system and something that artistically takes you places you wouldn’t expect,” she said. “To me, it’s erotic, but it’s not selling anything.”
For the record, LaBeouf’s member is (barely) visible for all of two seconds.
Check out the video below, which obviously contains nudity and is NSFW.
