Suzie Stitches: Sweet Seamstress by Day, Derby Girl by Night

At a little over five feet tall, Suzie Stitches looks too damn adorable to do any damage. But she's a powerhouse in a little package.

This mother of two works as a seamstress during the day, then laces up her skates and slinks into some fish nets to get rough with roller derby girls at night.

More than just a skater, Stitchie served as the captain of the Hot Rod Hotties for the 2012 season of Deadly Rival Roller Derby. While they didn't take home the giant, glittery golden roller skate trophy, the team did finish the season with an undeniable bond and a stronger love for the sport.

Stitchie also served as co-captain of DRRD's travel team for an away game last June. However, less than two weeks before the bout, she fractured her fibula during practice.

While she was heartbroken that she couldn't play, she cheered her girls on from the bench and was one of the last girl's standing (well, kneeling on her knee scooter) at the after party.

Her leg has since healed and she's already back on the track, blocking even better than before.

Whether you've seen her at Warrior Dash, in a punk rock fashion show, or at a local watering hole getting furious on some flip cup, you'll always see Suzie Stitches playing roller derby.
