Sports Illustrated Swimsuit

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue isn’t just about stunning supermodels. Each year, the popular magazine selects a handful of international athletes to grace the pages of the wildly-popular swimsuit issue. This year, javelin thrower Leryn Franco (Paraguay), surfer Bruna Schmitz (Brazil), and U.S. volleyball player Kim Glass made the cut. Kim Glass

An American indoor volleyball player, Kim Glass, 26, won a silver medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Hailing from Pennsylvania, Glass played volleyball at the University of Arizona where she dominated the court with remarkable kills and aces. While in Arizona, Glass tried out for the popular reality show America’s Next Top Model five times, but was unable to secure a spot on the show (bet they’re sorry now). This is the volleyball vixen’s first appearance in SI Swimsuit.
