Meet Nate Miller, 37, the winner of Redbook magazine’s “Hottest Husbands in America” competition. The Iowa father of two won 18,000 reader votes, beating out 2,000 hot hubbies, and 24 finalists, across the land. Miller, a contractor, credits his wife Denise for making him a better man.

“I was a bad boy in college, always partying, drinking, and fighting,” he said in an interview with Redbook. “As soon as I met Denise, my grades went up, I stopped causing so much trouble, and she took me to church. She gets 100 percent of the credit for making me a better person.”

The Millers have been married for 13 years and have two children – Sophia, 5, and Caden, 7. On their thirteenth wedding anniversary, Nate surprised his wife with a vow renewal ceremony that included all of their family and friends.  

"We walked to the top of a hill and he asked, 'Will you marry me again?'" Denise said. "I turned around and there was our pastor, family, and all of our closest friends. He even had a silk tie for him and our son, and a bouquet for me and our daughter."

Awwww. With romantic moves like that it’s not hard to see why Nate won the hearts of Redbook readers and the title of Hottest Husband in America.

The prize for Hottest Husband is a couple trip to Los Angeles to appear on The Talk and a romantic trip for two to St. Croix.
