On Christmas Eve, Hugh Hefner, 84, proposed to girlfriend Crystal Harris, a young woman 60 years his junior. So just who is Hugh Hefner’s latest love interest?

Crystal Harris was born April 29, 1986 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Her parents, entertainers from England, were working at a British-themed amusement park at the time, and Crystal was the first member of her family to be born in the United States. After a brief return to Europe, the Harris clan eventually settled in San Diego, California where Crystal grew up. Harris had a relatively normal childhood with her parents and two older sisters, though she lost her father to cancer when she was just 12 years old.

The future Playmate started modeling while attending college at San Diego State University. Harris met Hugh Hefner in 2008 and the two started dating approximately a year later. At first, Crystal had to share Hugh Hefner with identical twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon, but she eventually got the Playboy magnate all to herself. While at the Mansion, Crystal starred in the E! reality show The Girls Next Door and was the December 2009 Playmate of the Month.

Ex-girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson wasn’t surprised at the news of Hef’s engagement.

“I heard how much he loves Crystal and how he looks at her," Kendra told E! Online reporter Marc Malkin. "You can just tell there's a whole other meaning of love in him. I feel like she's the girl for him."

Holly Madison, another Hefner ex, was reportedly less than thrilled.
