Mexicana Airlines is running out of money fast, and back in November 2010, the company’s stewardesses paid out of their own pockets to create a calendar that would help to cover the company’s expenses. The ladies donned sexy airline ‘uniforms’ and sold calendars for $12 each.

So far, more than a thousand copies of the calendar have been sold, and a second print of 3,000 more has already been produced. Now, the lovely ladies have posed for the cover of Playboy Mexico. The flight attendants appear on the cover wearing, well, not much.

The airline is reportedly dealing with $800 million in debt, and the women are doing these photo shoots in order to keep their jobs with the airline. It’s unlikely that their stunts are going to help the airline get out of debt, but if nothing else, a few handfuls of women have gained fame for their assets and their drive, so maybe even if Mexicana Airlines crashes (pun very intended!), they’ll hopefully be able to find jobs relatively quickly.
